My Approach

I seek to create a warm and nurturing relationship with you where you can feel safe and supported. As you share your concerns, I actively listen with compassion and understanding. There is never judgement or expectation to perform or talk. We go at your pace, building a therapeutic alliance and trust where we can work together.

There are a wide range of approaches that I like to use in my practice. These include the following therapies: psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief, problem solving, interpersonal, strength based and family systems therapy. We can evaluate and discuss your needs and design a plan that best suits you. Often I find that a blended approach works well for many individuals.

Throughout my practice, I always try to incorporate mindfulness techniques to help you learn to feel more present and focused. When we are present in our lives, we are not as encumbered by our thoughts and are able to experience life and our surroundings more fully.
